Mark W. Conopka
Senior Vice President, Head of Multifamily Asset Management
Mark W. Conopka is Senior Vice President and Head of Asset Management of for GID’s multifamily assets and serves on the firm’s Multifamily Investment Committees. Mr. Conopka is responsible for overseeing strategic business plans in partnership with the firm’s portfolio management teams, collaborating with GID’s property management platform to drive property performance, and oversees GID’s joint venture development program.
Prior to leading GID’s Multifamily Asset Management team, Mr. Conopka was a Portfolio Manager for one of GID’s multifamily co-investment vehicles. Prior to transitioning to Portfolio Management, Mr. Conopka was Vice President of Acquisitions at GID covering East Coast markets. In this role, Mr. Conopka was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, and closing on investments for GID’s multifamily funds. Prior to GID, Mr. Conopka worked in the Capital Markets and Investment teams of Clark Realty Capital and Pinnacle Family of Companies.
Mr. Conopka began his career working for a private equity company that invested alongside operating and development partners executing value-add and merchant build opportunities. Mr. Conopka holds a Bachelor of Science from Babson College.
