Matthew Jablon
Managing Director, Client Solutions
Matt Jablon serves as Managing Director, Capital Raising for GID and is responsible for building relationships with institutional investors in the United States and Canada.
Prior to joining GID, Matt spent three years at BGO, most recently as Principal in the capital raising group. While at BGO, Matt developed relationships with investors in the US and Canada, with a focus on the East Coast.
Prior to that, Matt spent seven years in New York and Denver with Partners Group, working in a variety of roles across capital raising, project management, and investor relations to grow and expand the firm’s presence in the US, Europe, and Latin America with both investors and consultants.
Matt began his private sector career as a Director with Morgan Stanley’s global investment banking group, where he was responsible for risk management initiatives with the senior secured lending business. His background includes private credit strategies, insurance dedicated funds, secondary transactions, continuation vehicles, co-investments, and portfolio construction initiatives for separately managed accounts.
Prior to joining the private sector, Matt served as a military intelligence officer with the US Department of Defense for seven years. He completed multiple tours of duty in Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom), Iraq (OIF), Guantanamo Bay, and other overseas deployments, serving alongside the 5th SF Group and 82nd Airborne. He is a recipient of two Defense Department Commendations for Excellence in Service.
Matt holds a master’s degree in US National Security Policy and Economics from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. He received a Bachelor of Arts in International relations with a minor in middle eastern history from the University of Maryland at College Park.
