Lauren McDermott
Managing Director, Originations, GID Credit
Lauren McDermott is a Managing Director for GID Credit and is responsible for sourcing loan origination and credit investment opportunities. Prior to joining GID, Ms. McDermott served as Regional Managing Director for Longfellow Real Estate Partners where she oversaw the company’s Bay Area Life Science portfolio. Prior to Longfellow, Ms. McDermott served as a Vice President at CIM Group where she headed acquisitions and asset management in the Bay Area and the Carolinas, primarily focusing on the firms’ opportunistic, value-add, and core-plus strategies. Ms. McDermott also helped launch CIM’s Real Estate Debt Solutions platform, assisting in loan origination and the implementation of asset management policies. Ms. McDermott began her career at Wells Fargo originating construction loans in the Real Estate Group and later unsecured credit facilities in the REIT Finance Group. Ms. McDermott received a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Columbia University.
