GID’s Multifamily business has been awarded the Green Lease Leaders Award1 at the Gold level for 2025. The award is valid for 3 years, and highlights GID’s successful integration of green leasing and sustainability practices in the management of our multifamily communities.
Launched in 2014, the Green Lease Leaders Award was developed by the Institute for Market Transformation and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Alliance to acknowledge the exemplary achievements of organizations in facilitating sustainability through leasing and management practices. 2025 marks the 11th year of the program, which continues to establish best practices for leasing and tenant engagement.
To earn the Gold level recognition, GID incorporated energy-efficient practices, aggregated data collection and management practices into our leases thereby supporting the responsible operations of our multifamily assets.
“GID Multifamily’s renewal of the Green Lease Leaders Award highlights our success in integrating leasing practices and procedures that help deliver sustainable solutions across our portfolio and allows for alignment between our residents and property management teams” said Philip Carmody, SVP Head of Responsible Investments at GID.
GID’s investment strategy includes the evaluation and implementation of key sustainability projects to support meaningful environmental goals while meeting our fiduciary responsibility to our investors. GID continues to evaluate new opportunities for meeting both our internal and our investment partners’ sustainability goals.
